Land of Remorse Part I

“BRING UP THE NEXT GROUP!”

There was a group of blindfolded women being escorted up to the gallows by gruff looking men with expressions of grief caused by too many years in the profession. There was a man garbed in a robe of red and blue with cuffs of gold bearing a symbol of six fingers going in opposite directions. He looked at each and every blindfolded women with an unsatisfied expression and then turned his attention toward the audience.

“ Do any of you repent the crime of which you each have committed by violating the regulation of secrecy. It's a crime to flaunt your inflating bodies regardless of being carriers of new life”

Each of the Women made an objections of outrage to that remark, but the priest silenced them

“SILENCE! I can see by your vigor that Death is the only way to dispose of you all.”

The audience had mixed feelings but their general opinion was that the women were wrong for their actions, though some of them disapproved of the punishment of death but kept silent since they feared getting themselves killed by involving themselves. The blindfolded women continued to shout at the priest in outrage, the Priest then gave the hang men a signal to hang the women. A little girl in the audience turned away crying at the horrible sight and ran away from the crowd.

Suddenly Marai awake rising from her bed after having that nightmare, putting her hand on her forehead and then looked at her muscular arms, huge pregnant belly and legs making sure all of her was still attached to her. She then went back to sleep as exposed as she always is hoping to get plenty of rest.

On a far off island, past the mountains on mountains of trees and near the swampy area there was a silver house that looked completely clean and untouched by the nature surrounding it, besides the wall of wind that surrounded and protected the house. There was a mist all through the forestland, yet not strong enough to stop the sight of eyes searching and spotting into it. The four upper corners of the house went up and then curved into hooks only they were still made of wood just like the rest of the house. Two cloaked figures came out of the house and began to look out toward the blackness of the forest, one of them was significantly shorter than usual and the other person was pretty tall. Nothing could be seen of either figure besides that the tall one wore a silver and red cloak and the shorter one wore a worn black and scarlet colored cloak. The shorter figure spoke with an old woman’s voice.

“ I tried to force the information out of it, but it is too powerful. In its own language, it warned me that some pregnant woman will ruin my plans”

The taller figure then spoke and appeared to be a lot younger sounding like a young woman of twenty.

“What did you expect? You attempted to overpower a strong spirit for information when communicating to it would have been more logical.”

The shorter figure gave a sigh of failure.

“ If you should see any pregnant woman that looks strange, or seems peculiar. Should you meet this woman make sure to get rid of her, or I will make use of your body”

The taller figure laughed and paid no attention to the threat made by the older woman,

“ I'm aware and prepared to do my part to serve you Master, disposing of a pregnant woman will be so easy. If need be then use my body for your plan”

They continued to talk until the taller figure made way leaving the sight of the silver house with the shorter figure standing and staring through the cloak that concealed any physical appearance. Both of them kept concealed making an effort to avoid revealing any physical appearance from being seen by the many eyes of the forest.

“WHAT! What do you mean he kills with his eyes!?”

Marai was in a room inside of a tower which appeared to look like a gift shop with all sorts of magical objects and items out for advertisement and protected in glass cases. There was a huge bookcase behind the rectangular glass case which went into the wall and appeared to be another room with many posters stuck to the walls of the rooms. A man with red hair wearing a bright purple tunic with blue trousers and a blue necklace with a sapphire stone around his neck was on the shopkeeper with his attention directed toward Marai,

“ I'm not lying Marai, the rumors are that this man has red eyes that kill any living being that enters his home. He is said to live in a house of spirits that haunt him and are said to be trying to kill him.”

Marai astonished and surprised at this rumor made her quickly go into disbelief mode,

“ You honestly expect me to believe that load of rubbish, honestly Minish you heard the strangest stories Haha!”

Minish chuckled and bent down looking down at his collection of items right below him searching his objects with his eyes as if he knew exactly what to look for within the glass cases protection the items,

“Well if you can obtain a Journal that belongs to the man with the red eyes then I'll give you anything you desire, or I'll make it. What do you say?”

Marai smiled and was eager to take on the challenge set upon her, she started tapping her finger on the glass until Minish rose up from annoyance after looking in his collection,

“ I accept this challenge and I will definitely acquire that Journal and you will make me whatever I desire”

Minish smiles at her and then suddenly seemed to remember something since his expression changed to surprise and he grabbed something behind him. He then showed it to Marai revealing that it was a pair of bracelets that were a silverish green color made of a silver metallic metal,

“ Then wear this, it will make you completely invisible unseen by the eyes red as the fires of anguish and eyes of the common”

Marai accepted the bracelets thanking him for his generosity and bade him farewell after asking for the location of the place, Minish went into his back room grabbing a wash cloth to clean his glass case. Marai closed the tower doors behind her feeling confident of this new adventure and began to make her way through the darkness of the forest which at one point she was blinded by a silver light that came from what looked like a house, though she pressed on avoiding to look at the it. Eventually she could see fresh tracks of human feet off to the side of her which made her think that they probably belonged to someone who lived in the house she had not seen whose tracks they were, the forest seemed to go on forever with no end as far as her keen eyes could see. Soon, there was a small glint of light straight ahead which proved to be hopeful. As she continued to walk on the light became brighter and brighter until she at last was on the beach lit brightly by the morning sun.
The beach was very crowd with people from the city nearby who were neighbors of the dark forest, the path of pregmadness and forest of satyriasis. There was a city in the distance of the beach and could be seen from the beach with two tall walls of stone covering all sides of it from the inner limits and outer limits of the city. The walls were heavily guarded by bowmen and garrison on the lower levels of the wall guarding the huge gate, within the wall there were living quarters for the soldiers that seemed more for royal ranking officials, but were very much accommodating to the soldiers. It was quite plain that the ruler of the soldiers either had a higher opinion of his soldiers than usual, or the soldiers had made convincing threats to sway the mind of the ruler toward their beckoning. Marai had recently walked through both the upper and lower levels of both lower and upper wall areas in a previous engagement, so her knowledge was still freshly ingrained in her mind with only the unimportant details forgotten until her eyes met the sight of a boat.
After two hours of sailing Marai had finally caught sight of the island she was rowing toward, the wind suddenly became much stronger to the point where the row boat was moving double its speed as if by an unknown supernatural force which utterly stopped Marais rowing since she began to curiously look in all directions for what was making her boat move so fast. When she turned to face the bow of the boat it was beached on the sandy beach of the island she aimed to, she slowly rose out of the boat taking her equipment and walked toward the village that was in plain sight glancing around her every now and again. It wasn't long before she entered the village with ease looking around at the many restaurants, inns and food vendors with their names in bold printed katakana, Marai caught a smell of delicious food in the air which made her lick her lips and run over to one of the restaurants that had a long line of people beyond the entrance. There were many eyes of curiosity staring at Marai some with intents of sexuality, some of disgust of her appearance, and the rest resumed their daily lives as if nothing happened.
The line steadily entered the restaurant until everyone who was in line was inside as the evening crept into the night, Marai managed to get a table and fill two plates full of food for herself putting her hands together and saying, “Itadakimasu” before eating the food that with every swallow made her huge pregnant belly jiggle sometimes. From outside the restaurant, there was a man with his back hunched who walked toward the outskirts of the village beyond the immensely scorched forest and toward the tall house.

                        Land of Remorse PART II

Marai came out of the restaurant smiling with her hands jiggling her huge pregnant belly feeling ready to face the challenge. From out of no where two men ran toward her with knives in their hands ready to spill blood then and there, but to Marai's surprise they stopped the instant they came an inch or two away from her,

“Well look at this woman, bigger chest, belly and butt. Bigger in all of the sexier ways”

The man who was silent looked at the other guy who just spoke with an expression of objection,

“Hey we were ordered to kill this woman not make love to her ! “

That remark hit its mark when the other guy turned to face his friend with his knife in hand which Marai was quite amused with this,

“ Quincy you shut the hell up, who do you think you are ? You know I've never made love to no one, but that doesn't stop you from telling random people now Does It !”

The man named Quincy then got annoyed even more, so both of them didn't notice Marai walking away,

“ Chester I am sick and tried of your damn insecurities, will you ever learn to drop it. Does being a virgin piss you off that much ! ?”

Chester angrier than ever clenched his fists staring with flames of angry in his eyes and he grabbed Quincy's shirt with his free hand,

“ Hey I'm not a damn sex maniac the only crime I'm guilty of is being a notorious flirt, What about you Quincy? “

Marai managed to make her way toward the forest of scorched trees unable to listen to the rest of the heated argument, when she thought about them she began to laugh uncontrollably. The moonlight was glimmering its light upon the land lighting its rays to many unseen details of the burned forest. Marai looked at herself after Chester's prior comment regarding her chest, belly and  butt which had indeed gotten a little bigger making her realize it was her fault since unlike normal pregnant women Marai didn't need to eat as much as a pregnant woman as a result of her own permanent pregnancy, but as a pregnant woman she is always allured by the desire for food. She continued to make her way through the forest hearing almost no noise at all save the noise of leaves blowing a long with random bird calls.
When she was halfway through the forest she spotted a white figure at the end of the forest recognizing it to be the same one who helped her when she was at the golden glory fortress, it raised its hand to gesture her to follow. Marai raised her eyebrow in doubt especially after the last time she followed it, nevertheless she followed since it was getting her to her goal nonetheless. For a moment her legs moved faster guiding her to the end of the forest much quicker than expected at the front of the huge mansion that was surrounded by barren scorched land that once was fertile and vastly rich reduced to ashes done to it many years ago. When looking back at the forest, all of the trees were still standing up despite their scorched bodies, yet so many burned trees had their roots ingrained into the ground as if this land of remorse could sustain life to them. Afterwords she then turned around putting the bracelets on her arms as she walked to the door of this depressing house, though when she touched the door knob she heard a little girls giggling from the forest subsequently making her jerk her head around in curiosity.
The door swung open as if someone meant to rip it off its hinges, though no one could be seen, nor could anyone be heard. Marai who was in utter shock looking around making her way inside quietly until the door closed itself with the same force it had flinging itself open, once inside Marai noticed she was in a room lit by a single light bulb hanging from a chandler that was constructed of rusted chains with disheveled tattered clothing everywhere in the room even underneath an oddly colored rug near the door. There was a closet next to the door and she noticed a couple wooden beams that lead out of the room in the upper right hand corner of the ceiling that were missing a good portion of the tiles usually covering a ceiling which was not too far from the door that lead to the next room. Then as she continued to listen for signs of movement, Marai finally made up her mind hookshoting to the beams of wood climbing to be on top of them which considering her weight it was a miracle the wood didn't break from her newly gained weight. From on the beam, Marai looked forward seeing absolute blackness as if she was crawling through a vent except for the odd opening she entered from a long with the fact that she saw what looked like another portion of missing ceiling tiles in the next room. She thought:

“ What happened to the ceiling? how is it that only the ceiling is torn off, but nothing else considering the abandoned look of this place “

She moved forward into the darkness with only the light of her bright bracelets leading her on, suddenly the white figure appeared in the next room looking at a piece of paper that lay on a huge collection of dolls. It came to Marai handing the paper to her with ease she took it and suddenly entered into a memory that was not her own,

“ The room was filled with dolls and had the appearance of a room for little girls to play in, one of the doors opened with a little girl coming out of it making her way to her dolls. She began to play with them until a loud knocking at the front door was heard, but she ignored it playing with her dolls. Then there was a scream of pain after the front door was opened causing the little girl to panic holding her dolls tightly, the door to her room was silently opening with a man coming out of it with a blood stained sword walking toward her. When he came to her he slashed her watching her dead body fall onto the pile of dolls before he made his way to the next room “

The visions ended there with Marai shocked at what she had witnessed, though she didn't have much time to think it over since something was definitely moving in the room,

“ There's a playmate for me, where are you? I wanna play with you?”

Marai finally saw that the dolls in the room were in fact moving, but only one of them was speaking and it looked exactly like the little girl she saw murdered. She then remembered as she saw the dolls looking everywhere for her that her bracelets made her invisible feeling very grateful for Minish's gift, the little girl was the tallest doll and also the doll that looked the most human. The little girl gave out a loud screech lunging to the wall right below Marai,

“ I found you, IT'S YOU ISN'T IT? The bad man who played with me with that sword, but It's my turn to play with you (Giggling) “

At that moment Marai hurriedly crawled forward on the wooden beam which as a result made the little girl stabbed through the wooden wall with her hands and began to climb up as she broke through the wall with each stab until the white figure stood between her and Marai. The little girl then climbed back down returning to where she was sitting with a blank expression on her face as if nothing had just transpired and her hands looked perfectly fine despite the fact that she stabbed through a wooden wall with hands of flesh with no injury whatsoever. Marai began to question how that girl knew where she was before she hurried to crawl away, but continued to crawl on feeling her heart pumping with adrenaline and her belly brushing against the wood. Marai's hand touched another piece of paper,

“ In the third room, it looked like an office with many bookshelves against the walls and papers neatly stacked onto each other. Right next to the door to the little girls room was a desk with a man sitting on a chair working away with his quill, then the scream of pain that was heard from the previous memories were also heard and the man unsure of what to do continued to write away hoping it was nothing serious. Someone then entered the little girls room and made a loud slashing noise that echoed through to his room. The man then grabbed a knife from inside his shoe watching the door to his room open slowly, surging with courage he lunged at it only to get smacked by a book and stabbed in the chest multiple times by the visitor. “

Marai awake from the vision cautiously looking below into the room the man where she saw the new vision died in. To her surprise he wasn't in the room, there were only words written in blood on the wall like:

“ GET OUT ! GET OUT ! HE WILL BE BACK ! I'M WAITING FOR YOU “

And

“ Depression is the eternal cage of sadness, this house is plagued by eternal madness AHAHAHA”

There were other more depressing words on the wall of this room, but Marai continued on until she could hear something groaning and huffing for breath in the next room along with the noise of someone dragging themselves on the ground which was a scary thought in Marai's mind. The uneasy thought of what that individual would look like based on the noises she heard was a pretty disturbing manifestation lingering in her mind as she cautiously moved her hands and knees forward on the wooden beam. Furthermore her mind also began to wonder why this hidden crawl way in the ceiling went through every room she had been in, though it was a short lived thought when the hand of the white figure appeared in front of her face to halt her from continuing any further when a cold voice spoke,

“ (Sniff) (Sniff) Is that the murderer who gouged my eyes that I smell, someone is near but where? Where ? Where ? “

The voice came from the next room which Marai had almost entered through her tunnel like crawl way in the ceiling, something metallic touched her hand taking her into a vision instantly,

“ There was a young man of twenty seven looking out of the window from the 3rd floor at a stranger that was approaching the house, the young man then nonchalantly made his way toward a ladder that wasn't far from him. He climbed down the ladder to the 2nd floor when he heard a scream of pain. He then bolted through three rooms until he found the stairs to the 1st floor then walking into the next room which already had the door partly open. The man entered the room looking around when from above him horns gored both of his eyes making him scream in painful agony. The next moment he felt someone stab him with a second pair of horns that were also antlers a fully grown male deer would have. After being gored by antlers twice the young man collapsed to the floor dead.”

Coming out of the vision she had just witnessed, Marai felt like the visions got worse and worse as she continued to prowl through the crawl way, she then gazed in the direction of the room she was coming closer to slowly crawling forward instantly seeing a person dragging themselves on the floor sniffing while Marai was a great amount of feet above where it was. As if the wind carried Marai's scent straight to the crawling figure, it hastened toward the direction of where the scent came from causing it to sniff more intently. Marai moving much more slowly kept her gaze upon the creature that could be seen by a lantern hanging by a chain on the chandler where a light bulb would normally be.

“ (Sniffing) (Sniffing) Where ? Where ? (Rising to his feet to feel the wall with his hands)”

Marai then looked down at the figure who to no surprise resembled the young man from the vision except his empty eye sockets could be seen as he sniffed continually, she raised herself into a downward facing dog pose with her belly no longer touching the wood.  Anger burst out of the man as he began to rip through the wood of the wall trying to grab Marai with wails of agony in his voice, she having the sense to move as fast as she could until she was altogether out of danger and out of that room in general.

                     Land of Remorse Part III

Presently she made it into the next room continuing to hear the wails and ripping of wood, finding that the crawl way changed direction with one way going up into a vent that only a skinny person, or child could fit through. On the contrary the other way had a ladder going down to the floor of this new room which she was forced to pick since it would be impossible for her to fit in the vent with her pregnant body. Incidentally she was huffing for breath when suddenly the eyeless man was crawling after her in the crawl way until the white figure appeared to ward the man off which some how stopped him in his tracks despite the fact he couldn't see the white figure. The man turned around returning the way he came making a loud slamming noise as he landed back into the other room dragging himself on the floor once again as if nothing happened. As Marai walked down the ladder with the white figure near her she seriously began to contemplate everything that happened in her mind,

“ Are these people or creatures real, or are they hallucinations trying to kill me? And why can the little girl and man see me when I am wearing these bracelets that are suppose to make me invisible to everyone? “

After reaching the floor to the fourth room, she saw a ladder to the 2nd floor and began to climb up with the white figure following behind her which considering the fact he saved her life twice made her grateful to have him nearby. As she climbed up the ladder her senses came back to her one of which being her bruised knees and the other her urgency to unload everything she had eaten if that was at all possible to do in this dangerous house. She reached the top of the ladder which was closed by a wooden trapdoor that opened easily when she pushed it open making sure to keep it clasped in her hands, so she could prevent it from making a loud noise as it would. First, she looked in every direction of the room before she climbed up to the 2nd floor though to her surprise nothing was there, so she closed the trapdoor that lead to the ladder below which to her astonishment locked itself after closing. The room became lit by a light bulb from the chandler above she then noticed that she was in a storage room with lots of crates, jars, dishes and so on as if the residents had more dishes than necessary, or simply that someone wanted to leave the house.

“ I HEAR YOU ! I AM WAITING FOR YOU ! WHERE ARE YOU ! ?”

This voice was loud and sounded as if the speaker were not too far away from where Marai stood, looking around she saw two doors one of which that lead in the direction of the voice and the other in the opposite direction which she chose to tip toe over to opening the knob as silent as she could. While entering the room she saw a restroom more beautiful and clean than any she had seen in her life, so she quietly closed the door glancing at everything in the bathroom including the toilet, when she was confirmed on the current safety she smiled at the chance of being able to unload everything she had eaten at the restaurant. She could hear everything, every single sound in the house including the man dragging on the floor on the 1st floor, yet from out of nowhere the voice that spoke before spoke again only it was more discernible this time to be a woman's voice,

“ HELP ME ! (Crying and Sobbing) I KNOW WHY YOU ARE HERE, PLEASE FREE US FROM THIS “

The sound of chains being rattled as if someone was struggling to break from the metallic bonds holding them there was heard, though it was still an obscure mystery whether what she heard was actually a woman of good intent, or a desperate soul clinging to the idea of malicious nature with deception of plea. Marai having finished her urgency flushed the toilet and opened the door leaving the room as she slowly closed the door behind her, not giving any thought to the fact that the flushing noise could of given away her whereabouts to some creature within the house. Consequently she noticed she had lost the extra weight she gained from the restaurant food as she walked as slow as ever toward the door the voice came from, putting her hand around the knob opening it as quiet as she could then seeing another room illuminated by a bright light bulb.

“ WHOSE THERE! ? WHERE ARE YOU ? “

Marais gaze instantly went over toward the opened door that lead to the 3rd room where she saw a silhouette of a figure from the room she entered with the light bulb struggling to keep itself lit as it depicted the figure. For this reason Marai's heart began to beat fast with fear of what was going to happen next closing the door behind her, and she backed into the wall walking sideways until she was in a corner of the room noticing an iron door near her. The light bulb in the room she was in began to flicker on and off for no apparent reason and during these flicker spells there was a tall figure with its head bent looking at the ground with his body standing perfectly still despite the appearance of malnutrition. Then the light bulb worked normally after its struggle with the figure gone, Marai was in such a state of fear that her voice was mute as her thoughts were verbalizing what she would of said in a safer situation,

“ What just happened? What the heck was that disfigured thing? Death would of met me right there if I were a woman in labor, for I've never been more grateful that labor will never happen to me than now”

She then continued walking sideways against the wall until she found herself in front of the iron door which very much resembled a prison cell door with the window barred with iron bars, as she looked inside there was a figure that flashed across her view with great speed as close as possible to the window but going out of view. As a result, Marai frightened by the quick figure backed away slowly aiming to reach the other door to the 3rd room when something grabbed some of her hair taking her into a vision,

“ There was a twenty three year old woman in front of a mirror combing her hair and making herself prettier with make up in the room on the 2nd floor glancing at the trapdoor in the next room as if she were waiting for someone, she even tried a number of modeling poses when she heard knocking on the door. The noise was ignored by her since she figured it was business not involving herself though when there was a scream of pain she turned around looking at the trapdoor when from out of no where a man bolted past her opening the trapdoor as quick as he could climbing down the ladder. The man forgetting to close the trapdoor made the woman all the more uneasy, so she went to the iron door against the right wall opening it and closing herself in it hoping to stay safe. The noise of someone climbing up the ladder was heard a long with the shutting of the trapdoor.

“ Why are you hiding from me Zelena? You are my daughter and yet you still hide from me, it is to be expected since you ran away to marry some pacifistic fool. Did you forget that no one is more powerful than me? “

Zelena stayed silent hiding in the cell as the figure who spoke was her father, and had deduced that Zelena was inside the cell after searching around the room. He laughed at the sight of his daughter cowering before him in the cell. He used magic to bind her hands with chains so that she could never leave the cell. Then he walked away leaving her sobbing with tears.”

Marai having returned to her senses grabbed an arrow and cut off the part of her hair that was held with the arrow tip as well as moving away from the door. She didn't realize she had made noise by escaping the grip that resulted in the sudden flickering of the light bulb in the room until she could once again see the tall figure standing in front of the cell door with his head bent down bobbing up sometimes, he didn't seem to have any idea where Marai was nor did he ever raise his head as he only looked down. After some time passed the light bulb flickered again and he was gone, Marai was very thankful she didn't wear any shoes along with the fact that she only wore her usual attire which meant less noise when it came to moving her body. Further on she continued to walk sideways against the wall having finally walked into the next room seeing that the tall figure was in the storage room standing next to the trapdoor, and luckily with the door open she didn't have to make noise by opening a door knob for the 3rd room.

“ Who is walking in this house? We are the souls of eternal depression forever stuck in this futility of our demise, yet there is one who is not one of us”

Marai turning her attention to the voice that just spoke noticed that everything was as it was and the voice couldn't be traced, she then looked into the room she was in that was lit by a light bulb filled with disfigured dolls sitting against the walls as if they were guarding the entrance to the fourth and final room on the 2nd floor. The floor began to creak as Marai lightly landed her foot down onto the wooden floor in front of her, some of the dolls twitched uncontrollably then they settled down to doing nothing again with blank expressions on their faces.

“Depression is the eternal cage of sadness, this house is plagued by eternal madness AHAHAHA”

The same inhumane monstrous voice that spoke earlier spoke again and Marai saw it was the tall figure speaking to himself in the storage room, he spoke again

“ Where are you? I know you avoided death and yet you always come back to this house like you are a resident. Blood......Blood........BLOOD!!!!!! “

Marai's eyes searched around the room for a safer way to get to the door to the final room on the 2nd floor, but to no avail since the only thing she saw were the vents in the ceiling of the 2nd floor which were too small for Marais pregnant weight. Only one dumbfounded solution stuck in her mind in her present position and she took a deep breath, then she ran toward the door as fast as she could with the dolls instantly launching themselves toward her a long with the tall figure running with great speed at the noise dangling his lifeless arms. Marai barely got past the launching dolls grabbing the door knob, the door easily opened and she closed it as fast as she could though the door hit a long grey disgusting arm.

“ BLOOD ! BLOOD ! Join us in this house and DIE!!!!”

The voice was screeching with a inhuman voice, the next moment the arm no longer prevented Marai from closing the door which she quickly did. The dolls no longer were attacking the door as the sound of a powerful gust of wind was heard from within the house. From what she heard it sounded like the tall figure was thrown back into the wall by some force. The image of the tall figure was in Marais mind, tall grey fleshed man with a disfigured face and malnutritional body as if he were an undead corpse. Unlike all of the rooms she had entered, this one was almost completely covered in plants like whortleberry bushes, roses, celadine and hyacinth. Besides the plants there was a ladder to the next floor above, window lit by the moon and a collection of peculiar white circles that looked like magic of some kind.

“ DAMNATION !!!! YOU CAME BACK !!!!”

The voice of the disgusting screamed as if he knew what threw hit back, at the present moment Marai began to lower herself to the floor until she slowly collapsed onto her side into an exhausted slumber.

                         Land of Remorse Part IV

Marai had awoken after many hours of sleep slowly raising herself up then looking at herself to make sure she was still in one piece, having confirmed that she was indeed the same she looked out the window and it looked as if the clouds were about to cry upon the world. After being awake for some minutes the white figure appeared to her raising his hand and touching her forehead with one of his transparent fingers taking Marai into yet another vision,

“ Marai was in the same room with a twenty two year old man wearing a green suit with black pants who was practicing magic with the plants, the usual knocking on the door was heard just like with the other visions though he stopped what he was doing and waited patiently as if he knew something was going to happen. After waiting for some time he raised one of his hands up silently counting down from three to one lo and behold ! Someone was climbing down the 3rd floor ladder and leaving the room as the man opened the door to let the person out of his room then he went over to his whorleberry bush to grab something. He then began to drag a coffin while at the same time the scream of pain was heard which to Marais surprise he seemed unmoved by it, he continued to move it onto the circle opening it up. Strange as it was he raised his legs into the coffin and suddenly disappeared while entering the coffin never reappearing“

The white figure then stopped touching Marai hovering over to the window then writing a message onto the windows glass,

“ I am the Mark Mancer, I foresaw my death at the hands of one whom I slayed in this ghostly body. The price for my sacrificing my own life for this immortality was a voice of complete silence and being forced to come to the place where I died. “

Marai was fascinated by this information and raised her eyebrows thinking that it was hard to believe that he was forced to be in this house when she herself met him in the Golden Glory fortress, she spoke softy making sure not to be loud,

“ That is impossible ! You were at the Golden Glory fortress? “

Mark Mancer then wrote another message below his first message in response,

“ I am very powerful just as I was before my death, I can transport to anywhere I please, though I am limited by the amount of time I spend away from this place because this is where the majority of my power comes from. Everything in this place is filled with the dread and depression of the event I had hoped to escape, but I have been caught in regardless of my actions to prevent it”

Marai then began to understand feeling pity and sadness for this hopeful spirit thinking one last question to give it,

“ Then why do you help me? “

The Mark Mancer then once again wrote another message underneath the second message,

“ You have the power to put an end to this eternal depression and since you intend to take Morgans journal then it will free us and destroy this house of horror. Even though my power will be hurt it is more important for Morgan to move on and let go of the sorrow that that tragedy brought to the dead souls who linger seeking to kill the murderer who killed them. “

Marai had no idea who this “Morgan” person was, but made the assumption that he was the red eyed man since everything else she had encountered never had red eyes, nor did anything she saw had the ability to kill her instantly when she did look at their eyes. The Mancers appearance then became more visible and more like his former self during life in ghost form, nearby there was a noise of moaning from the opposite side of the door that made it quite clear to Marai that she needed to go up the next floor or she would have to face that disfigured monster in the next room. The Mancer then directed Marai to climb up the ladder which she did so as he wished until he wrote a message upon the trapdoor she was about to push open,

“ I never intended to let Morgan into my room because I knew he would never be able to handle this, nor would he have been able to face the fact that I slew the killer right after the terrible incident”

Marai slowly opened the trapdoor being struck by the powerful moonlight from an open window, the next sight was of a woman hanging from a noose though the strange part was why this person looked exactly like the woman she saw in the prison cell. Marai and the Mancer entered the room closing the trapdoor after entering, the only thing in the room was the dead hanging corpse that still had all of its flesh on it as if it had died recently though it held a book in its hand. The Mancer hovered over to it grabbing the book from the dead hand and handed it to Marai who opened the book,

“ DAY 350 YEAR 16

Dear Journal,
I Morgan Henrik will record the last entry regarding the incident that has befallen the residents of this house including myself.

After sixteen years of living in this house, we had often been opposed by people who knew our belief in non violence in a land where hate, discrimination and killing were justified as legitimate solutions. One of whom who hated us was a bishop who held a history of executions believing that they would make an example to the people that peace was a quality of falsehood, thankfully his executions were not believed by the majority of the people, only by those who were easy to sway to ones will. The part that is strange is that very little is known about him despite his spectacles with executions, and another queer fact is very often his wife will be wearing the exact same clothes with him no where to be seen, come to think of it I have never seen him and his wife together nor has anyone else I've talked to. I had been gaining considerable political power trying to convert my island to non violence, but it all changed on that day.

Anyway, the sun was covered by clouds the entire day when suddenly the bishop came walking toward my house then knocking on my door. I opened the door like any polite person would and the instant the door was completely open I was slashed across the chest with a long sword which made me scream in pain as my chest was bleeding. The bishop smirked at me saying,

“ Peaceful scum like you deserve the punishment I'll inflict upon you, for you I will make you live a never ending nightmare. Doesn't that sound pleasant and peaceful for you Morgan? “

I began to lose consciousness as he continued to prowl further into the house killing

~ Poya the little girl
~ Accountant Gilderoy Happer
~ Artist Leonard Cerner
~ Wizard Mark Mancer
~Zelena my beautiful girlfriend

That day as I woke from consciousness I heard noises of sobbing and crying from all of the residents except for the Mancer whose body was no where to be found. As I entered each room I was forced to comfort every resident who had now become monstrous creatures seeking vengeance against that man. Every day after that incident I had to comfort them whenever they became paranoid of the mans coming back, so I tore off the ceiling tiles so I could sneak through and say, “hi” to them so they would recognize me. Eventually I discovered that I had red eyes that killed on sight, this peaceful home turned into a house of horror and depression with just one day. I gave up my political career because in my present condition if anyone looked at me then death would take them instantly“

Marai stopped reading since she noticed that every page she flipped to was the exact same as the page she had read only with new small details, she looked at the Mancer having more questions in mind,

“ How did you stop Morgan from entering your room? “

The Mancer touched Marais forehead with one ghostly finger,

“ I am very powerful and after I slew the Doppleganger who murdered most of the residents here and killed it taking the body here so that one day I might show Morgan, but at the same time I was too afraid of how Morgan would react seeing the creature in the form of his lover”

“AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!! “

Marai was about to turned around until her eyes were covered by the Mancer which meant the owner of the journal was in the room,

“ My my my...........Love, shes dead but why? WHY? WHY? IS THAT WHY SHE IS NEVER FOUND TO ME WHEN I SEARCH? TELL ME NOW WOMAN !!!!”

The Mancer grabbed the journal from out of Marais hands and threw it out of the open moonlit window resulting in Morgans getting furious,

“ So your here Mancer, DAMN YOU Mancer, have you gone mad that journal is why we exist. Ever since that incident It is my responsibility to take care of all of you and even if it means remembering that horrible event every day. I spend hours and hours just looking for that giggling little girl because she is the only one who can look me in the eyes without dying”

The house suddenly began to crumb and fall to pieces, the sounding of wailing and crying could be heard from below by the residents. Marai was instantly transported out of the house by the Mancer watching the house collapse into complete ruin with his hand still covering Marai's eyes. Suddenly Morgan jumped out of the wreckage marching over to Marai, but giving the Mancer a menacing glare of hatred,

“ Who the hell are you to destroy the house I let you live in? I gave you everything necessary to live ! Do you think I enjoy being reminded of that eternal damnation that we lived under because your Damn wrong Mancer ! I never meant for our house to be a horror house where we slaughter innocent people of curiosity for twenty years, yet IT'S THEIR FAULT FOR LETTING US DIE ! WE ONLY WANTED TO LIVE IN A WORLD WITH PEACE WITHOUT HATE ! “

Morgan was on the verge of an emotional breakdown at this point clenching his fists as if he aimed to beat up the Mancer until he bleed to death, though he had the sense to know that such an attack would be utterly useless since the Mancer's ghost would be immune to such attacks. The Mancer raising his transparent hand knew what he must do, making his hand land upon Morgans forehead. Morgans expression changed to shock and sadness with tears beginning to well up in his ruby pupils. He then built the courage to speak with his tears falling on his face

“ …....She can't of been the Killer........She was......she was.......my love.......I never thought she could do that to us...........so that woman in the house was a doppleganger.......why did she? Why?”

the Mancer then removed his hand letting Morgan fall to the ground crying with wails of sadness until his body began to crystallize and break into shards of glass leaving only his ruby pupils to fall onto the ground moment-less. The Mancer finally let go of Marai directing her toward the journal that was thrown while at the same time he was crying transparent tears. At that moment, voices all around Marai began to cry as she made her way to the journal that lay firmly on the ground noticing a little girl among a cluster of bushes with tears streaming down her cheek frowning. Marai bent down to pick up the journal keeping her gaze on the sad little girl, then walking back to the Mancer to bade him farewell as he touched her forehead.

Marai ventured down to the village below noticing the sun rising as she walked down until her path was blocked by a tall hooded figure,

“ So you must be that pregnant woman that will ruin my masters plans, well this should be easy to be rid of you then”

Marai grabbed her gloves of smashing from inside her pouch putting them on when the hooded figure was armed with a dagger, as the hooded figure thrust the dagger at Marai's belly which ricocheted right out of the figures hand making Marai's belly jiggle. She sent the figure flying into the air with a single punch falling into the ocean water very far away, then she made her way to the village where many people had gathered with faces completely wet with tears as if they knew what had happened to Morgan. All of the citizens began to praise Morgan for all his contributions for his many acts of selfless charity as Marai made her way to the beached boat feeling tears falling down her cheeks as she began to question why this was happening, but disregarded it considering the fact that all living things on the island were crying for the life of one man who was cursed in his land of remorse. He wished for a world without hate, and everyone cried for him on this island including enemies, friends, strangers and foreigners.

                                   Land of Remorse Epilogue

Marai returned to Minish's tower walking up to the steps and pushing the doors open, as she did that she opened her pouch pushing aside her equipment until she felt Morgans journal in her hand. She then ascended up the tall staircase up to Minish's antique shop. Unbeknownst to Marai was the fact that she was being followed by the same hooded figure who attacked her earlier, though the figure uncovered everything except their face to reveal chain mail armour with legs also covered by leather leggings. Marai had just opened the shop doors while the figure crept slowly up the stairs and put an ear against the door to eavesdrop.

“ Well did you get what I asked of you Marai? “

Marai gave Minish an expression of utter annoyance at his remark raising her eyebrows in wonder of why he would say such a stupid thing when he knows she obtained the journal.

“ Of course I did you and of all of the things you've asked me, that was by far the dumbest. Since when have I ever not obtained an object you requested me to get? “

Minish began to laugh uncontrollably at her annoyance, then he bade her to come to closer, she walked a bit closer scrambling through her pouch with her right hand for the journal. She grabbed it out of the pouch that was tied around her right hip, handing it to Minish. He smiled and handed her the bow and quiver full of arrows she had let him guard while she did her adventure.

“ I can see that you weren't able to come back with a clean face this time, tell me what happened to make a strong powerful warrior like yourself go to tears? “

Marai gave a sigh then she felt her cheeks with her hands to feel that they were indeed still wet from the tears she had shed for no reason known to her,

“ Honestly I have no idea, after the owner of the journal died the entire island was brought to tears and sad over his death. Everyone cried for him and praised him as if their wills were taken into grief beyond the power of their own control. “

Minish then responded back,

“ And you Marai were one of the many to feel that power of grief, though I think some other force prevented you from fully feeling the sadness as the people did”

Both Marai and Minish nodded then he looked long and hard at one of his windows as if he was deep in thought after his comment. Marai then decided to bring up the question of the reward,

“ I did as you wish so now I am granted any reward of my choosing, correct? ”

Minish nodded and then went back to staring at the window still pondering what Marai had told him regarding the effect of Morgans death on everyone on the island. She snapped her fingers in his face though he ignored it and she decided she would just tell him and hope that he was paying attention,

“ I want something that can became any weapon I can think of, and I....well have been feeling the desire for satisfaction if you know what I mean even though I have never known the feeling.....”

Marai felt a bit embarrassed after confessing her second request because she had never had romance, sex, or love of any kind besides love expected out of family or close friends. Minish who didn't pay the least attention to Marai then glanced at her quickly before he went into his back room to search until at last he came back with his hand open revealing a big sapphire stone,

“ This sapphire my dear Marai has the ablitiy to change its appearance to any weapon you have in your mind, now the other request”

Minish put the sapphire in Marais hand then bade Marai to bring her head closer to ask her for her sizes in clothing which brought Marai to a scowling temper,

“ Why the hell should I tell you that you dirty pervert ! “

Minish sighed then responded,

“ If you want satisfaction I would create a bikini that would give you more allure to allow you to, also let me remind you that if I were a pervert don't you think I would of asked you that question ages ago back when we first met, or have you forgotten that you would have been easy prey if I were that kind of man. Not to mention I've given a lot of rewards and gifts so where do you get off thinking that way about me Marai ! ? “

Marai feeling the sting of defeat then revealed to him her sizes and he instantly created one red bikini puffed into his hands with his magic handing it to her. Then he went back to his deep thinking wondering what sort of power could force an entire island to be brought to incredible sadness like that. Marai then accepted the red bikini too feeling grateful for Minishes help,

“ Thank you so much for the Bracelets and for all of the rewards Minish, I am sorry for my ungrateful attitude earlier...”

Minish looked back at her with a bright smirk,

“ You are very welcome and believe me I understand. You've done more for me than anyone else, by the way that Bikini will change sizes depending on how alluring you want to be. In any case farewell and come back whenever you want to Marai. “

Just as Marai turned her back she was surprised by the doors slamming open with the armor claded hooded figure standing there pointing dual swords in Marai's direction,

“ Hand over that Stone you fat woman and hand over your pouch right now ! “

Minish seemed amused with this stranger since he knew full well that Marai was going to smash this foolish brigand, Marai on the other hand put the bikini into her pouch which made the pouch full then she held the sapphire in her hand picturing a claymore. The stone blinked a white flash then transformed into a claymore. The figure backed away not expecting the resistance,

“ Hey I said hand over the stone and the pouch and no one will get hurt ! “

Marai charged at the figure and smacked the figures face with the blunt side of her claymore resulting in the figures falling down revealing the face of the assaliant, young attractive woman in her early twenties with black hair, barely visible eye brows, black pupils and appearance was similar to asian. The stranger didn't expect Marais assault putting her hand on her bruised cheek then jumping up to attack Marai, but Marai expected this attack and slashed one of the dual swords in half. The stranger dropped the useless sword looking at Marai with awe,

“ How did you do that? What are you ? “

Marai taking advantage of the strangers fear slashed the other dual sword in half making that sword fall to the ground useless as well, Marai then desired to question the stranger,

“ Who are you? And why are trying to attack me, or I'll slash you to bits “

The stranger feeling that it was impossible to win against Marai submitted to answer the questions,

“ My name is Ariana, and I am attacking you so my master can achieve
her plans “

Marai wished to continue questioning until she noticed Ariana jump back and run down the stairs fast as ever, while Marai reverted her claymore back into the sapphire stone putting it into her pouch.

These stories are actually really cool when read fully sequentially. They feel like an adventure novel with all parts flowing really well together. epilogues are always key to giving the reader a sense of comfort as to what happened after but also tieing in future adventures and tales :D
Your use of descriptive language in this chapter is really quite something. At times I really could imagine the locations. I'm also loving the description of Marai's belly :D She's really gotten used to the weight of her condition, at times I assume her magic baby is causing her issues but she seems to be unaffected quite well :)

My favourite section in this chapter is actually two sections one quit early "I tried to force the information out of it, but it is too powerful. In its own language, it warned me that some pregnant woman will ruin my plans", which was cliché hilarious :D and the cliffhanger, I must admit you write them well bridging the the next part well :D

Actually theres a third bit I loved: "Marai looked at herself after Chester's prior comment regarding her chest, belly and  butt which had indeed gotten a little bigger making her realize it was her fault since unlike normal pregnant women Marai didn't need to eat as much as a pregnant woman as a result of her own permanent pregnancy, but as a pregnant woman she is always allured by the desire for food." This particular section was actually quite refreshing to hear some parts of her pregnant condition affecting her. It gives a sense of "realism" if you know what I mean, even though its a magically induced condition :D :D :D
